Saturday Ride

Saturday looks like it will be a busy day.  As you know, Spin Cycles is organizing a charity ride

called Emma's Ride. This ride starts at 9:00 Saturday morning at Anglers park and offers distances

of 5, 10, 20 and 30 miles.  The fee is $20.00 (I think) with proceeds going to Emma's family to help

pay for her medical bills.

 

If you want to participate, we will meet at Mal-Mar and depart for Anglers at 8:30.  After completing the

30 mile ride, we will determine another destination and continue our ride.

Emma's ride

I've been asked to forward this message to all COD's.  This is from Spin Bicycle Shop in Danville. This ride will start at 9:00 am.  If you want to do more we could do this and then go to Ruffin or even further if you want.

 

We ask you to please come out and help us support five year old Emma in her fight against cancer.

Spin Bike Shop and others are sponsoring a cycling event starting at Angler's Park in Danville. Cyclists of all levels are welcomed and encouraged to attend. There will be four different distance routes to ride (5, 10, 20, and 30 miles). You can ride at your own pace or join a group. For those who want to ride but don't own a bike we encourage you to stop by our store or call for details regarding our affordable rental bikes (including a limited number of our new Pedego electric bikes).

Entry fee is $20 per rider and the first 300 entries will receive a free shirt.
To pre-register please stop by Spin Bike Shop to fill out an entry form.

All proceeds will go to Emma's family.

Meet at Mal-Mar for an 8:30 departure Saturday. Let's hope that the weather is drier than it was for the century guys last weekend in Hillsboro.

Bikefest

If you would like to caravan down to Hillsborough, the plan right now is to meet at Southwick Plaza and leave at 6:00 am.

The weather looks like it will be improving during the morning Saturday, not too hot in the afternoon.  See you on  Saturday.

 

Saturday ride

For those of us not doing the Tour de Scholar ride this weekend, we'll meet at Mal-Mar at 8:00

and do a 'relaxed pace' ride.  At least that's what Malcolm said.
